Laura is a seasoned education leader with over two decades of experience spanning the classroom, nonprofit sector, and executive leadership. She began her career as a teacher in under-resourced communities before taking on roles in school turnaround, instructional leadership, and strategic planning at organizations such as LA’s Promise, New Teacher Center, and Alliance College-Ready Public Schools. Most recently, Laura served as Chief of Staff at Alliance, where she led network-wide initiatives focused on equity, strategic alignment, and organizational culture. A proud first-generation college graduate and daughter of immigrants, Laura brings a deep personal commitment to educational equity and opportunity. She brings a strategic focus on leadership development, collaborative problem-solving, and systemic transformation to improve outcomes for historically underserved students. In addition, Laura serves on the board of Foothill Country Day School in Claremont, CA., where she contributes to governance, strategic oversight, and community engagement. Laura holds a B.A. from UCLA, an M.A. in Education, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California.
