Colleen Kennedy is a coach and educator with over 15 years of experience as a consultant, founding elementary school principal, instructional leader, and classroom teacher. Colleen began consulting in 2022, with a focus on coaching, leadership and professional development, and the science of reading. In the years prior, she was the founding school leader of KIPP Corazón Academy Lower School, a community-focused K-8 school in Los Angeles. She led the school for five years, from founding to full growth. Before founding, she participated in the KIPP Fisher Fellowship for founding school leaders and the Miles Family Fellowship, and she served as a dean and founding teacher at KIPP Comienza Community Prep. Colleen received her M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A. from the College of William & Mary in government and psychology. She is currently pursuing her coaching credential with the International Coaching Federation in partnership with the Institute for Coaching Innovation.
