Paula Marra is an educational leader and consultant with more than 30 years of experience in progressive education. Most recently, she served as Director of High Tech Elementary Point Loma in San Diego. Under her leadership, the school was recognized as a High Performing Charter.

Throughout her career, Paula has worked in a variety of roles—including teaching assistant, classroom teacher, grade-level coordinator, chief academic officer, director of enrichment, and school director. She is an experienced and collaborative leader who supports systems-level change with a steadfast commitment to student-centered, performance-driven, and equitable approaches. Her consulting work has supported schools and educators across the U.S. and internationally.

Originally from Brazil, Paula began her teaching career there before moving to London, where she completed Montessori training and taught for several years. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Inclusive Education from Queen’s University Belfast and has continued her professional learning through programs with Harvard’s Project Zero, the Teacher/Principal Training Principal Center in London, Global Online Academy, ICEP Europe, and IDEO U. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts (FRSA). Paula currently lives in San Diego with her husband, Finbar.
