Taylor Young is a passionate educator whose career spans the classroom, non-profit sector, and ed-tech industry. With a Master’s in Education and five years of experience teaching in Title 1 schools across multiple grade levels, she brings a holistic understanding of today’s education landscape. Taylor began her career as a Teach For America corps member, where her commitment to educational equity and student empowerment took root. After teaching in Colorado, she returned to San Diego in 2018 and taught at the Thrive Linda Vista campus. In 2021, she joined the International Rescue Committee in El Cajon, where she developed and facilitated a social-emotional and leadership afterschool program across three middle schools. She went on to work in education technology at Imagine Learning and Amplify, partnering with school district leaders to implement online learning programs that drive positive student outcomes. She has since returned to Thrive, where she now applies her breadth of classroom, community, and industry experience in service of educators, students, and the communities they serve.
